How to launch Wraith for CS2 - Guide
This guide walks you through launching Wraith on Counter-Strike 2 from start to finish — preparing your PC, injecting the loader, opening the in-game menu, and dialing in safe, legit-looking settings. Follow the steps in order and you'll be in a match with the menu open in a couple of minutes.
What you need before you start
A clean, correctly configured system is the single biggest factor in a smooth launch. Sort these out once and every future session just works:
- Genuine, unmodified Windows. Wraith fully supports the latest Windows updates (including 24H2), but your Windows must be original — no "custom" or stripped builds.
- Administrator rights. The loader has to run as administrator to inject.
- Runtime libraries. Install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005–2019 redistributables, DirectX 12, and .NET Framework 4.7.1.
- Up-to-date GPU drivers straight from NVIDIA's or AMD's official site.
- Remove conflicting anti-cheats. Uninstall the FaceIt and ESEA clients. If Valorant is installed, remove Riot Vanguard — it blocks injection.
- Antivirus. Add an exclusion for the loader (or temporarily disable real-time protection) so it isn't quarantined.
- A personal Prime account is strongly recommended — more on why in the safety section below.
Step-by-step: launching Wraith on CS2
Once your system is prepped, the launch itself is short:
- 1. Pre-launch CS2 in fullscreen. Start Counter-Strike 2 first and make sure it's running in fullscreen or fullscreen windowed mode. Switching display modes mid-game can cause rendering issues, so set it and leave it.
- 2. Run the Wraith loader as administrator. Right-click the loader → Run as administrator.
- 3. Dismiss the two error windows (if they appear). On "custom" Windows installs you may see two error pop-ups — they're expected, because those builds are missing some components. Just click OK.
- 4. Select Counter-Strike 2 from the game list in the loader.
- 5. Start the cheat. The loader automatically closes Steam, restarts it, and launches the game for you — let it finish.
- 6. Wait for the game to open.
- 7. Press
Insertin-game to open the Wraith menu. That's it — have fun.
Recommended settings for safe, legit play
Wraith is hard to flag on the technical side; most issues come from looking obviously inhuman to other players. Keep it believable:
- Use a legit aimbot config: multiple bone targets and a small delay rather than a single locked bone.
- Never run Smooth at 0. Keep Humanizer and Smooth at 2 or higher so your aim emulates natural mouse movement — low or zero smooth is what triggers reports and temporary restrictions.
- Move your mouse deliberately. Don't trace along walls or visibly track enemy silhouettes through them.
- Avoid parking your crosshair on enemy models repeatedly — it's one of the patterns that lowers your trust factor.
Staying under the radar (VAC & reports)
Detection in CS2 is increasingly behaviour-driven, so how you play matters as much as your config:
- Teammate reports hurt roughly 6× more than enemy reports, and a flood of reports triggers more frequent neural-network reviews of your account. Don't be flashy.
- VAC Live's machine-learning system is actively evolving and can occasionally flag even clean, legit players — staying subtle is the safest long-term approach.
- Overwatch may return as the demo-review system gets updated, so keep your gameplay defensible.
- Use your own Prime account. Bought or stolen accounts carry roughly a 70% chance of problems on their own.
Troubleshooting
- Two error windows on launch. Normal on custom Windows builds — click OK and continue.
- Game looks broken or won't render. You probably switched display mode after injecting. Set fullscreen before launching and don't change it mid-session.
- Steam closed by itself. Expected — the loader restarts Steam automatically as part of the launch.
- Menu won't open. Make sure the game window is focused, then press
Insert. - Still stuck? Your configs are saved in
C:\Wraith\cs2\cfgs(Lua scripts inC:\Wraith\cs2\luas). Open a ticket in our Discord and the team will help.
